We rebuilt the roof of Los Peques community center and provided food for the 40 children who visit every day

Los Peques is located in Villa 21-24 in Buenos Aires, a community where thousands of families live in vulnerable conditions. When we arrived, the situation was urgent: the broken roof didn’t just let the rain in — it also allowed rats to get inside. Because of that, the center had to close, leaving 40 children — and often their parents — without a safe place to eat, learn, and stay off the streets.
Last month, we were finally able to change that.

We built a new, solid roof that allowed the center to reopen. We also installed a new toilet, since the bathroom had been shut down and couldn’t be used. Today, Los Peques is open again, serving food daily and offering a safe, steady place where kids can spend their afternoons.
On weekends, the center also provides school support and workshops, giving the children a space to learn new skills, grow, and stay engaged.
Every improvement at Los Peques is a step toward giving these kids a place that truly protects and supports them — and it’s only possible thanks to the people who choose to help make it happen.
